Ambassador of Canada in Armenia visits Tavush region

The first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Armenia, Andrew Turner, paid a working visit to Tavush Province on May 23–24. The ambassador gave an interview to Tavush TV, where he spoke about the purpose of his visit, presented Armenia-Canada relations, and shared information about upcoming programs.
“Canada-Armenia relations can now be considered good news. In recent years, our ties have strengthened and deepened—especially with the opening of the embassy. And I have the honor of being Canada’s first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Armenia. With Canada’s presence in Armenia, we express our support for Armenia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. We are making every diplomatic effort to support the establishment of peace. My visit to Tavush serves that goal—to become familiar with the situation, record existing issues, and address them. I believe there is great potential to further strengthen Armenia-Canada relations. My visit to Tavush is aimed at contributing to that as well,” Andrew Turner said.
The ambassador also visited Tavush Media to learn about the work of the television company.
