Attempted murder in Ijevan solved; Perpetrator arrested

On September 20 at 8:00 PM, the Tavush Police Operational Management Center received a report that a resident of Blbulyan Street in Ijevan had been struck with a hatchet on the hand and leg.
Later, the same incident was reported by the “Ijevan” Medical Center, where it was noted that a 35-year-old man had been transported with multiple injuries for medical treatment.
Officers from the Tavush Regional Criminal Police responded to the scene. It was determined that during an investigation of previous disagreements with the victim, a 39-year-old man from Aslanyan Street in Ijevan had inflicted the injuries with a hatchet and then fled the scene.
Following joint operations by the Tavush Criminal Police and Ijevan Community Police, and after explanatory work, the 39-year-old presented himself to the police on September 23 and confessed to the act.
He was transferred to the Tavush Regional Investigation Department and then placed in a detention facility.
