Collapse in Dilijan city (updated)
On May 3, at 9:51 p.m., the regional crisis management center of Tavush was alerted that the retaining wall of the highway leading to the “Eco Station Dilijan” hotel in Dilijan city had collapsed. the highway is closed both ways.
One combat unit from Ijevan fire-rescue squad of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia promptly dispatched to the scene of the incident.
It was found that the retaining wall (about 105 square meters) adjacent to the highway leading to “Eco Station Dilijan” hotel collapsed (about 70 square meters), as a result of which about 120 cubic meters of earth moved and completely blocked the road.
The rescuers opened the road with the help of special equipment. traffic has been restored in both directions.
