How to cope with the heat

In these days, in order to withstand the negative effects of ultraviolet radiation, mitigate and prevent overheating of the body, it is recommended to follow a few simple rules:
The Ministry of Health urges to avoid direct sunlight, especially between 11:00 and 17:00.
- Wear a hat, sunglasses, an umbrella, and wear loose, breathable clothing of white or light shades, preferably made of cotton.
- Use a broad-spectrum (UVA and UVB protection) sunscreen with an SPF of 50 or higher.
- Avoid spicy, fatty foods, preferring lighter, more digestible foods.
- Drink more fluids than usual (about 3 liters per day), they should be lukewarm or slightly cooled.
- Do not abuse caffeine and sugar-containing drinks, both hot and cold.
- People with cardiovascular or genitourinary system diseases should take fluids after consulting their doctor.
- Children, pregnant women, the elderly, and people with chronic diseases should maintain a calm regime during the hottest hours of the day.
- Never leave infants or children in a parked car, even if the windows are open.
