Memorial tournament dedicated to the memory of Pavlik Abazyan

On the initiative of Stepan Sarhatyan, coach of the Kyokushinkai Karate Federation, a regional karate championship was held on May 7, dedicated to the memory of the fallen conscript soldier Pavlik Abazyan.
The head of the Ijevan community Artur Chagharyan, Pavlik Abazyan’s parents and friends were also present at the memorial tournament.
Pavlov Abazyan was from the village Achajur. He also practiced kyokushinkai karate and achieved many successes.




A khachkar was installed in Aygehovit in memory of fellow villagers who were martyred while defending the Homeland.

During the chronicles of the Third Republic of Armenia, a khachkar was installed in Aygehovit in memory of the people of Aygehovit who were martyred while defending the Homeland. The initiator and supporter is Arsen Simonyan, a philanthropist born in Aygehovit and living in Russia. On April 18, the consecration ceremony of Khachkar was held in the school yard by the spiritual pastor of the village, Father Abgar Karapetyan.

At the end of the event, philanthropist Arsen Simonyan was awarded with an honorary certificate of the Union of Freedom Fighters, and honorary certificates were also given to the families of boys who died for the defense of the Motherland.




The Heroes – Lyova Danoyan

Our new edition of the Heroes program is about Lyova Danoyan from Dilijan.

BIOGRAPHY

Lyova Danoyan was born in Dilijan, Tavush Region. In 2015-2018 he studied at Dilijan High School.

On January 23, 2019, he was drafted into the army and served in Hadrut. On October 3, he received shrapnel wounds in both legs, but continued to fight, not leaving his comrades on the battlefield. On October 29, Lyova was taken to the village of Chartar, where he was killed from a drone strike of the enemy on November 2.

He was posthumously awarded the “Combat Service” and “Mother of Charity” medals.




“Spring in the sky,” commemorative matinee for Levon Mantashyan in Dilijan

Levon Mantashyan, martyred in the 44-day Artsakh war, would have turned 22 on April 3. On Levon’s birthday, the “Spring in the Sky” commemorative matinee was held at the Dilijan Children’s Music School.

Levon started to play the guitar at the age of 15, and later, he also started to write. In 2018, together with his friends, he created the “Spruce-fir” band, where he took on the role of leader-guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. During that time, he wrote a number of songs and poems, which have been completed and will be published soon.

The “Spring in the Sky” commemorative matinee dedicated to Levon Mantashyan was initiated by Dilijan Municipality.

Levon was born on April3, 2001, in the city of Perm in the Russian Federation.In 2007, he moved to Dilijan and got admitted to Dilijan Basic School No 4 and then continued his education at Dilijan High School. In 2019, he was drafted into the army, serving in the first defense district of the Republic of Artsakh. Levon fought with his fellow soldiers and died on the battlefield on October 10, 2020.




The Heroes. Mkhitar Amirkhanyan

Today’s edition of the “The Heroes” program is about Mkhitar Amirkhanyan, a father of two children, who willingly took responsibility for his part of the Motherland, immortalizing himself for the sake of a peaceful life for all of us.

During the 44-day war, Mkhitar fought a fierce battle, caused many losses to the enemy. From the very first day,  Mkhitar’s song and encouragement pushed the boys of “his squad” ahead …

 

Biography

Mkhitar Amirkhanyan was born in 1989, in the border village of Koti.  He lived in the village. Mkhitar studied at Koti Secondary School, then, in 2008, he was conscripted into compulsory military service.

Mkhitar was in Mataghis and took part in the fierce battles, though he was injured he did not leave the front line. They caused a large number of material and human losses to the enemy.

Mkhitar Amirkhanyan was was killed in the battles for the defense of Mataghis.
