Memorial chess tournament dedicated to the memory of captain Samvel Matinyan

A memorial chess tournament dedicated to the memory of captain Samvel Matinyan, who fell in the 44-day Artsakh war, was held in Aygehovit in Tavush region. Samvel’s relatives were also present at the tournament. The military science classroom of the school in Aygehovit village was named after Matinyan.

Tavush TV dedicated a separate program to Captain Samvel Matinyan within the framework of “Heroes” program.




The presentation of the book “Arko, the Hero of Hadrut” was held in Azatamut

The presentation of the book “Arko, the Hero of Hadrut” dedicated to Arkady Melikbekyan, who was martyred in the 44-day Artsakh war, took place at Azatamut Culture House.

The author of the book is Arkady’s younger sister, the editor is Hovhannes Javakhketsi.




Presentation of the book “Doctor Harut. My soldiers need me” at the Medical University

Today, “Doctor Harut. My soldiers need me” book presentation, dedicate to the hero of the 44-day war, military doctor, Captain Harutyun chobanyan, was held at YSMU.

The military doctor was next to his beloved soldiers and friends during the 44-day war. He managed to save hundreds of lives.

The event was concluded with Armine Yeghiazaryan’s speech: Doctor Harut’s wife. Ahead of her husband’s 30-year anniversary on February 18, she and their relatives wrote down her and others’ memories of Harut, passing them on to her children, Sara and Ruben, as a wonderful, heroic example of life and activity.

Armine urged, taking Harut’s example, to try to leave the hall with a smile.

Within the framework of the TV program “The Heroes,” Tavush TV has  prepared a program about the Military Doctor Harutyun Chobanyan.




The Heroes. talking to Sargis Fidanyan and Manush Grigoryan

War, injuries, life change, and new life. Within the framework of “The Heroes” program, this time, we talked with Sargis Fidanyan and his wife, Manush Grigoryan, from Haghtanak village.

Sargis was seriously injured during the 44-day Artsakh war, as a result of which, he lost his leg and hand. He underwent a long rehabilitation process in the “Soldier’s House,” then in the Czech Republic.

Now he is married. Lately, their daughter, Sona, was born. Sargis says that becoming a father and having a family has brought new and real meaning to his life.




The Heroes: An interview with Sargis Alaverdyan

Our guest at the Tavush TV pavilion is Sargis Alaverdyan, a participant of the 44-day war. Sargis left for mandatory military service in 2019 and had been a soldier for a year when the war began. He was wounded on the very first day of the war.
