On September 11, a khachqar (Armenian cross-stone), dedicated to the memory of the freedom fighters killed in the First and Second Artsakh wars, was unveiled in Azatamut.



“This is a crucial step to show that patriotism is, first of all, knowing your Homeland.”

Beauty through Hakob’s eyes The works of immortal Hakob were presented

This was the title of the exhibition opened in the Diocese of Tavush of the Armenian Apostolic Church on August 17.

The exhibition was planned and implemented by the efforts of women of “Telik” NGO. According to them, the aim was to give them an opportunity to get acquainted with Hakob’s talents, dreams and see the beauty through his eyes. 



Hakob Meliqsetyan was born in 2000, in Getahovit village, Tavush region. He had decided to get higher education in the sphere of art. In 2019 Hakob was admitted to YSU IB, the faculty of applied arts, and in January, he went to serve in the army. During the war, serving in air defense forces, Hakob showed exceptional courage by hitting several enemy ATS fighters. Hakob was killed on October 7, dedicating his life to his Homeland. Based on the decree of the Artsakh President, Hakob Meliqsetyan was awarded a Medal for Courage.




A memorial event dedicated to the 45th anniversary of Vazgen Grigoryan

On the day the war started Vazgen was on duty. Although the scars from the surgery were still fresh, he asked his wife to pack up his stuff so that he could go to the war. And he did so…

Vazgen Grigoryan was born in 1976, in Gandzakar village. He served in the police system for 14 years and had many encouragements but no reprimands. 



In 2021 posthumously, he was awarded the medals of combat support, military service, and courage.
