Concert-lecture of famous musicologist Mikhail Kazinik at Dilijan State College of Arts

Famous musicologist, violinist, writer, and pedagogue Mikhail Kazinik arrived in Armenia for a big creative project.  On April 12, his concert-lecture on the topic of “Secret Signs of the Culture” was held at Dilijan State College of Arts. 

The concert was organized for the workers of the schools of Dilijan, for students of secondary specialized educational institutions and employees of local self-government bodies. The students and teachers of Yerevan Tchaikovsky Secondary School of Music were also invited to the concert.

Speaking about his tour in Armenia, Mikhail Kazinik noted, “Armenia is a whole Universe. It is not by chance that I called the current International Academy “Armenia, the beating heart of the planet”.Armenia is not just a country on the earth, it is the connection of the time. Armenia is the old temples. In each temple an emotional feeling. Armenia is the unique relics. The colors of Armenia are incredible. They warm people’s souls.”




“The faded glow of gold”. Smbat Tsutsulyan’s novel is already on the reader’s table

Smbat Tsutsulyan’s “The faded glow of gold” is already on the reader’s table. On April 15, the book presentation event was held in Tavush regional library. The book “The Faded glow of Gold” is dedicated to the writer, public speaker, and deputy head of the main criminal intelligence department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Soviet Armenia, police colonel Samvel Tsutsulyan.




The plays “There is life in the mountains…” and “Spring bells” were staged in the framework of the inter-community cultural event entitled “Theatre Day” with mutual visits to Berd and Koghb.

On March 30, within the framework of the inter-community cultural event entitled “Theatre Day”, the play “There is life in the mountains” (author of the play: Liana Antaranyan, director: Sasun Muradyan) was staged by the theater group of the Koghbi Culture Center at the Berd community culture house.

 

On a mutual visit, Berd’s children’s and youth theater troupe presented Artashes Palanduzyan’s play “Spring Bells” in Koghb.

After the performance, souvenirs symbolizing the inter-community cultural day “Theatre Day” were given to all members of the cast and directors of the theatre of Koghb and Berd, and theater groups and directors of the house of culture, initiators and supporters were awarded certificates of appreciation.

 




If everyone aspires to the capital city, who will preserve the culture here; Naira Abrahamyan

Actress Naira Abrahamyan has been at the Noyemberyan Culture Center since 1991, has played in more than 30 performances, and was recently awarded the gold medal of the RA Ministry of Culture.

The group exhibition entitled “For You” was opened at the Koghb School of Fine Arts

“For you,” this is the title of the group exhibition opened on March 20 in Koghb, where the works of a number of artists are presented.

The title of the exhibition at the Koghb School of Fine Arts, “For You”, is chosen so that every visitor finds in the presented works and environment what is close to his/her soul: colors, preferences, mood.

The exhibition will be open for 20 days, so hurry up to visit.

Matinee dedicated to Nune Poghosyan’s 75th anniversary was held in Berd community.

Nune Poghosyan, who collects and tells the stories of well-known people and events, has recently celebrated her 75th anniversary.  On March 25, Berd School of Music and Art held a matinee dedicated to his jubilee.

Nune Poghosyan’s biography was presented at the event. Excerpts from her works were played, many of those present also made speeches, sharing their memories and impressions.




In 2023-2024, in Ijevan, “We are our mountains” cultural strategy will be implemented. the community won the competition of the “EU4Culture” project

With the support of the “EU4Culture” program and in cooperation with the “Urban” sustainable development fund, the Ijevan municipality has developed a cultural development strategy entitled “We are our mountains”, which will be implemented in 2023-2024. “We are our Mountains” is a cultural development strategy developed by the Municipality of Ijevan, and it received a grant of 300.000 euros to be implemented. On March 24, the “We are our mountains” cooperative, culture-based creative economy promotion project was officially launched in Ijevan.

The objective of the strategy is to improve cultural infrastructures through continuous creative activities, to ensure an active cultural life closely interrelated with economic development, contribute to the preservation and effective management of historical and cultural heritage.

EU4Culture is a four-year project funded by the European Union to support the culture sector with a special focus on non-capital cities in the Eastern Partnership Countries.

Let the music go on. Tigran Suchyan

“Until you start, you can’t know for sure you can or not.” assures trumpeter, composer Tigran Suchyan, telling about his career path, creating his own project – Dialog Music Project, leading the group “Artsakhiks” and then the Artsakh State Jazz Orchestra.

In the current situation, when “his band” is in the blockade in Artsakh, and he is here, he continues to believe that regardless of the difficulties, the music should go on.
