The art classroom of the Koti Cultural Center has been reopened

More than 35 students will have the opportunity to study and improve their skills in the newly opened classroom.

The closing concert of “Melody Vocal” folk ensemble in Berd

On August 24,  the closing and reporting concert of the folk ensemble “Melody Vocal” took place in the House of Culture of Berd. The concert started from Artsvaberd, Verin Karmiraghbyur, Tavush villages of Berd community.

The audience enjoyed and listened to Armenian, national, folk msuic and songs during the performance of the ensemble.

“Melody Vocal” folk ensemble was created by “Berd Culture Center” cultural NGO with the support of Berd Community Culture House and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports. The purpose of the ensemble is to spread and popularize Armenian, national, folk song art. It also aims to contribute to the formation of an atmosphere of solidarity between generations through folk song, and it is for this purpose that representatives of different generations of the Baird community and the settlements of the region are involved in the ensemble.






About 120 schoolchildren from Ijevan community met the RA Honored Artist Ruben Muradyan

With the funding and support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, “The Special Creative Center for Children” SNOC, implements the “YOUR ART AT SCHOOL. in search of a profession” republican program in 2022. Within the framework of the program, a meeting with the RA Hnoroed Artist Ruben Muradyan took place on October 12. About 120 schoolchildren from 6 schools of Gandzakar, Getahovit, Khashtarak, Aknaghbyur, and Ijevan participated in the meeting, held in Tavush Administrative Center.

About 3500 schoolchildren from 450 schools will participate in the meetings held within the framework of the program. The meetings are held in an interactive format. The children have the opportunity to get not only theoretical knowledge but also watch the presentation of the given artist and take part in the master class conducted by the guest, which can later help them in their professional orientation. During each meeting, a question-and-answer session takes place, which contributes to more direct student-and-artist communication and clarification of the questions that interest children.

The program is aimed at children’s professional orientation, spiritual development, recognition of art branches, and increasing the public recognition of Armenian artists. Within the framework of the “YOUR ART AT SCHOOL, in search of a profession” program, a series of lectures-meetings was held on October 11-14 in Dilijan, Ijevan, Berd, and Noyemberyan.






Arm Studio of Ijevan is 1 year old. The students of the theatre group summed up the academic year

Arm Studio theatre club is one year old. On October 16, in the House of Culture of Ijevan, the students of the group presented a performance summarizing one-year activity.

Hovhannes Tumanyan’s tales “Kikos” and “Barekendan” were included in the program of the performance, song, dance, and raffle, as a result of which five children from the audience got presents.

The students of the theatre group of YSU Ijevan Branch and the students of M dance Studio also performed with the students of Arm Studio on the stage of the House of Culture.

Arm Studio theatre group was established in 2021, in autumn. The group aims to develop the theatre in Ijevan. During the classes, students get in-depth knowledge about theatre, acting, speech skills, and stage speech. Narek Haykazyan, actor of Gabriel Sundukyan State Academic Theatre, Andranik Harutyunyan, actor of Yerevan State Chamber Theatre, and producer Zohrab Hayrapetyan, work with the students of Arm Studio.

Arm Studi theatre group will continue its work and promises to perform new plays.






“There is life in the mountains…” premiere of a theatrical performance at the Koghbi Culture Center

On October 23, the premiere of the play “There is life in the mountains…” based on the play by Liana Antaranyan took place in the theater of the Culture Center of Koghb village.

The performance is about the hard feelings of a parent that his sons have left the homeland and spread around the world.

 






Tavush Talk with Nune Poghosyan

We talked with Mrs. Nune about her life path, the difficulties she overcame as a woman, responsible work and family, creativity, and Tavush.

Nune Poghosyan was the first female lawyer, prosecutor, then judge of the former Shamshadin area. She opened the first law firm in Berd. She says she has a lot to tell us. Since 2013, after taking a well-deserved rest, she has been writing, and it is impossible to imagine the smell and the taste of the region without her talks.






The presentation of Yura Amirkhanyan’s book “Koti” in the author’s native village

On October 9, the presentation of Yura Amirkhanyan’s book “Koti” took place at the Culture House of Koti village.

Yura Amirkhanyan, the author of the book, is from Koti village. His book aims at completing the centuries-old history of Koti, and presenting it to the public. Although the village has been surrounded by Azerbaijani villages for many years and even today, it has never been emptied and has not lost its Armenian face.

The residents of Koti villages, the author’s partner and our compatriots were present at the event, and came to congratulate the author. The students of the Culture House of Koti danced national dances and sang national songs. The children also quoted from the author’s book.

Touring puppet theatre of Chinari school will soon visit you.

In 2021, Eliza Amirkhanyan moved from Yerevan to border Chinari to teach at the school of the village within the framework of the “Teach For Armenia” program.

Besides daily classes, she has also established a puppetry club, and now, together with children, she takes the first steps of founding a touring puppet theatre. They create their own puppets: the most colorful and kindest characters in the world.

Eliza has an idea to travel to the villages of Tavush with the children and perform children’s puppet shows.

“Living Dialogue” in Noyemberyan

“Our heroes, It is hard without you, but we will live; it is hard to dream, but we’ll dream; it’s hard to believe, but we’ll believe.”

In Noyemberyan, the troupe of the “Metro” theatre presented the play “Living dialogue” based on the stories of Vardan Amalyan, who died in the 44-day war. The stories, written by Vardan at the age of 11-13, were not just staged but were told from the stage, and Vardan’s messages were conveyed to the audience.

According to director Edgar Mehrabyan, “The title of the performance was not chosen by chance because every word brings life; whether we take it for an hour or ten days or our whole life, it is probably our personal problem.”

The members of the theater troupe admit that they always feel Vardan’s presence and spiritual power during the performances.

The actress Evelina Stepanyan says, “The performance is a call to live, to continue living and to live in a completely different way, after the war. ”

During the performance, parallel to the stories, the subject of the war and the feelings of that time are referred to.
