“Living Dialogue” in Noyemberyan
“Our heroes, It is hard without you, but we will live; it is hard to dream, but we’ll dream; it’s hard to believe, but we’ll believe.”
In Noyemberyan, the troupe of the “Metro” theatre presented the play “Living dialogue” based on the stories of Vardan Amalyan, who died in the 44-day war. The stories, written by Vardan at the age of 11-13, were not just staged but were told from the stage, and Vardan’s messages were conveyed to the audience.
According to director Edgar Mehrabyan, “The title of the performance was not chosen by chance because every word brings life; whether we take it for an hour or ten days or our whole life, it is probably our personal problem.”
The members of the theater troupe admit that they always feel Vardan’s presence and spiritual power during the performances.
The actress Evelina Stepanyan says, “The performance is a call to live, to continue living and to live in a completely different way, after the war. ”
During the performance, parallel to the stories, the subject of the war and the feelings of that time are referred to.
From a “fatal” performance in the Tavush Diocese to Starmus festival. The voices of Tavush in Sports Concert Complex
One month ago, at the end-of-year concert of the children’s choir of the Diocese of Tavush, no one could have imagined that the performance of the selection of the Queen group’s repertoire could be fateful. Thanks to this performance, the little Tavush residents reached the big stage of the Sports Concert Complex.
On September 7, during the Another World Concert held within the framework of the Starmus VI festival, the children’s choir shocked the complex and captured the hearts of the audience. Queen’s legendary guitarist Brian May introduced them from the stage.
The children’s choir of the Diocese of Tavush was founded in 2016 with the blessing and initiative of the diocesan leader Bagrat Srbazan. The choir’s repertoire is diverse, from spiritual and patriotic to contemporary pop and rock.
Maria Galstyan is the artistic director and conductor of the choir. She arrives from the capital Yerevan to the rectory of the Tavush Diocese for each training; as she says, “to date the children with the beautiful.”
In the video below, we told about the journey of the Choir from the “fatal” performance in the rectory of the Diocese of Tavush to the Starmus festival; and about children’s feelings.
Here is what Brian May says about The performance of the Choir.
Here you can see the first moments after the Choir’s return to Ijevan.
The Rebirth of 44. The new performance by Mery Chibukhchyan and M Dance Studio was staged in Ijevan
“About two years have passed since the war, and new children are born in my heroes’ families, many girls are trying to form new families, and many mothers are trying to live in these difficult times, and that is the best example of a rebirth for me.” Mery Chibukhchyan’s new performance is named “The Rebirth of 44.”
This is the second performance by Mery and M Dance Studio, which is staged in Ijevan Culture House. Last year the dance performance entitled “The delayed morning of hope” was staged in the same place.
Mary says that there are feelings that can only be expressed in the language of art, and the two performances were born from the parts of the story made up of those feelings. Seeing Manvel’s (immortalized in the war) newborn brother Emanuel and his living family again, Mary came to the image of the rebirth, to which the new performance is dedicated.
“The most important advice for me is that the Heroes live in each of us; as long as we live, as long as we remember and talk about them, their stories are not left unfinished,” says Mary.
Every Wednesday at 5 pm, the Noyemberyan Culture center is for children.
On the initiative of the director of the Culture Center, Sonya Zurabyan, popular Armenian and foreign cartoons are shown on big screens for the children of Noyemberyan.
