YSU Ijevan branch wished good luck to 224 graduates of the 2022-23 academic year
On July 12, 2023, YSU Ijevan Branch hosted 2022-2023 graduation ceremony of 224 graduates (129 full-time and 95 part-time students), which was attended by Yerevan State University Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, YSU Rector’s Chief of Staff Davit Hovhannisyan, Tavush Marz Governor Hayk Ghalumyan, representatives of various fields of the region, members of the administrative and teaching staff of the university, students, graduates, parents.
The ceremony started with the national anthem of Armenia, the anthem of Yerevan State University. Then a 1-minute silence was paid to the memory of our Armenians who died in the 44-day Artsakh war.
The Rector of YSU, the Governor of Tavush, and the Acting Director of the IB of YSU presented the diplomas of excellence to the graduates with high performance, then the deans of the faculties, according to the specialties, presented the diplomas to the other graduates of full-time and part-time education.
The ceremony continued in Yell Extreme Park in Yenokavan.
Dilijan Central School’s 2022-2023 graduation ceremony took place
On July 9, Dilijan Central School’s 2022-2023 graduation event took place.
The graduation ceremony brought together current and previous graduates of the school, teachers, parents, as well as guests, who with their presence and warm words cheered up the graduates preparing to enter the high school.

Ijevan Music School summarizes the academic year
Ijevan Music Secondary School summarized the 2022-2023 academic year with a traditional reporting concert.
During the past year, the students of the music school participated in competitions and festivals during which they recorded significant success.
During the event, national, folk, patriotic songs and music were played by the students and teachers.
During the past academic year, Ijevan Music School was awarded certificates and special prizes for best performance at various events.
The final of the Ijevan community football tournament initiated by the “Bridge of Hope” NGO was held
The “Sports for Equal Opportunities in Armenia” project initiated by the “Bridge of Hope” NGO has come to an end. On May 18, the final football match was held at Ijevan High School within the framework of the project. The goal of the project was to promote the social inclusion of children with disabilities through football.
Armine Khachatryan, the former defender of the national women’s football team of Armenia, made the starting pass of the final football match.
The next football tournament will be held in Dilijan, Berd, and Noyemberyan communities of Tavush region, and this fall the best teams will have a match, and the winning team will be declared the champion of Tavush.
At the end of the tournament, the teams were awarded with medals and the program supporters with letters of thanks. The winner was the team of primary school No. 1 of Ijevan, which also received the championship cup. Tavush TV also received a letter of appreciation for disseminating the project in the best possible way.
Small and Emerging Business Development Program in Armenian Provinces with Scholarships for Women
In November 2022, the American University of Armenia (AUA) Open Education launched the “Sarkis Cabayan Small and Emerging Business Development Program in Armenian Provinces with Scholarships for Women.”
The goal of the program is to promote the development of businesses in the regions of Armenia, providing particular support to women entrepreneurs. The curriculum was prepared by the faculty of the AUA Manoogian Simone College of Business & Economics and invites entrepreneurs to participate in an intensive six-month course on entrepreneurship, business management, financial management, and finding new markets. In tandem with the main program, foreign and local mentors will provide individual and practical advice to students, aimed at the development of their businesses and the launch of new ideas. The training will be conducted in English, which is why the program opens with English language lessons before students start the business course.
The program is sponsored by Armenian-American Dr. Hrayr Cabayan who, emphasizing quality education and the role of women in a developed society, established a full scholarship for all female entrepreneur students in his father’s name.
The diverse businesses represented by the applicants of the first cohort are impressive and include ventures such as greenhouse vegetable production, handmade leather products, personal and professional skills development centers, apparel design and production, handmade souvenirs production, guesthouse and tourism, apitourism, handmade paper products from recycled materials, among others.
The program will be implemented in the Shirak, Lori, Tavush, Vayots Dzor, and Syunik marzes of Armenia, as well as in Artsakh.

The 2nd International Scientific and Practical Conference “Social-Pedagogical Innovations in Education” was held at YSU IB
On April 15, the 2nd International Scientific and Practical Conference “Social-Pedagogical Innovations in Education” was launched at Ijevan Branch of YSU. The purpose of the conference is to promote student research, to reveal the creative potential of students, masters and post-graduate students, to focus the attention of youth on the importance of modern pedagogical research.
The 2nd international scientific-practical conference of young scientists was attended by undergraduate and master’s students of various specialties, young professors and scientists from Armenia and 62 universities around the world.
A memorandum of cooperation was signed by the YSU Ijevan branch and the Moscow State Pedagogical University within the framework of the scientific forum, which will later provide various opportunities to students and professors.

YSU IB Graduation Ceremony Master’s degree in 2023
On March 11, 2023, the graduation ceremony of the graduates of the part-time learning master’s degree in the “School Pedagogy and Methodology” educational program of the “General Pedagogy” specialty was held at Ijevan Branch of Yerevan State University.
Acting director of YSU IB Anushavan Makaryan, deputy director Mher Otaryan and coordinator of the master’s educational program Aleksan Margaryan congratulated the graduates of the second year of the master’s program in “General Pedagogy” of YSU IB and sent their best wishes.
Mr. Makaryan wished the graduates great professional achievements and success, personal happiness, the will to uphold the reputation of YSU IB and the honor of university students and purposefulness.
