Important conversations about hope, will, and action. On November 22, a community event in the format of TED talks was organized at YSU Ijevan branch. Such an event is being organized for the 2nd time within the framework of the activity of the “American Library and Training Center.”

During their speeches, the speakers of the event addressed mainly 2 topics, talking about the importance of social inclusion and equality and the importance of individual initiative.

Accomplished people who have faced difficulties in life and have great public recognition were invited. The speakers were Ladislav Beraneck, Gevorg Simonyan, Narine Grigoryan, Sargis Stepanyan, and Sirarpi Mughdusyan.

YSU IB students also attended the meeting and addressed their questions to the speakers. At the end of the event, certificates of appreciation were given to the speakers.






“Armenian studies as it is”. 10-day autumn school in Koghb

The Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia and the enlarged community of Noyemberyan organized the 10-day autumn school “Armenology as it is” for people over the age of 14 at the Koghbi School of Fine Arts.

The trainers shared their professional skills with the participants to effectively study, preserve and protect the Armenian culture.

The lectures were accompanied by the display of visual material, listening to recordings. The participants, who attended eight and more lectures, will be awarded with certificates.

Parenting week at TUMO centers and boxes in Tavush

In all centers and boxes of TUMO creative technologies, the parenting week started on November 7 and continued until November 13. Twice a year, TUMO opens its doors to parents, allowing them to personally familiarize themselves with TUMO’s educational program, participate in courses, meet with trainers and coaches, and be completely included in the educational routine.

On November 11, TUMO Center for Creative Technologies Chief Executive Officer Marie Lou Papazian was at TUMO Center in Dilijan to meet with students and their parents of TUMO boxes from Dilijan and surrounding communities. During the meeting, she spoke about the current and upcoming projects and answered parents’ questions.

TUMO Center for Creative Technologies is a free educational program that empowers young people to be in charge of their own learning. The center’s curriculum includes self-directed learning activities, seminars, and project labs.

TUMO has centers in Yerevan, Dilijan, Gyumri, and Stepanakert. There are also TUMO boxes, the number of which is increasing every year.TUMO boxes will soon be opened in Ijevan, Azatamut, Artsvaberd, and Koghb in Tavush Region.

“Ensuring employment through capacity building:” the joint project of GTTC and HSBC Bank has been launched in Tavush. The project aims at ensuring the employment of young people in Tavush region.

The initiative plans to hold programming and soft skills courses for the region’s youth. The 42 beneficiaries get the opportunity to participate in 6-month free trainings on “Computer technology,” “Web programming,” Social Media Marketing,” and “Graphic Design.”

On November 9, the opening ceremony of the “Ensuring employment through capacity building” project was held in the Ijevan Branch of YSU.

On the way of the economic development and innovation promotion in Ijevan. the opening of the “InnoIjevan” project bootcamp

On November 1, the official opening ceremony of the Bootcamp planned for the program “Economic development and promotion of innovation in Ijevan through public-private cooperation and creation of community ecosystems” was held. The event started at YSU Ijevan Branch. Frank Hess, head of the EU Cooperation Department in RA, and representatives of the structures implementing the program made the opening remarks. The projects created within the framework of the program and the completed works were also presented to the attendees. Within the framework of the project, the “Real School” educational project has also been launched in Ijevan this September.

“Real School” has been operating for two months. It provides students with vocational training opportunities through internships, work-based learning, and the development of hard and soft skills.

After the opening of the Bootcamp, there was a presentation of the community management model being tested in the Ijevan community, which aims to promote local economic development. The studies carried out within the framework of the project were presented to the employees of the Ijevan municipality and the administrative heads of the settlements.

The project “Economic development and promotion of innovation in Ijevan through public-private cooperation and the creation of community ecosystems” is implemented by the joint efforts of the Union of Advanced Technologies Enterprises, CoWo company, and Ijevan municipality. The project aims to promote economic development and innovation in Ijevan through public-private cooperation and the creation of eco-systems. The project is financed by the EU.






Interregional youth rapid chess championship was held in Ijevan

On the initiative of the Ijevan branch of the Chess Academy of Armenia, a children’s rapid chess championship under the title “Cup of the Ijevan branch of the Chess Academy of Armenia – 2022” was held in Ijevan on October 29.

The 80 schoolchildren from Ijevan, Dilijan, Berd, and Noyemberyan communities of Tavush region, Vanadzor, Spitak, and Stepanavan communities of Lori region, and Gegharkunik region participated in the championship.
Before the start of the championship, the representative of the chess academy presented the rules of the chess championship to the participants and wished them a spectacular and interesting game. Boys and girls under the age of 16 took part in the tournament.

The organizers note that participation in such tournaments is also an opportunity to gain experience in order to present the best in larger-scale championships in the future.

Ijevan primary school No. 1 and the president of Tavush region chess federation, Nikolay Ghaltakhchyan, supported the organization of the tournament.

The coaches are happy to note that such championships will be continuous, as children’s interest in chess is increasing year by year.

About 120 schoolchildren from Ijevan community met the RA Honored Artist Ruben Muradyan

With the funding and support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, “The Special Creative Center for Children” SNOC, implements the “YOUR ART AT SCHOOL. in search of a profession” republican program in 2022. Within the framework of the program, a meeting with the RA Hnoroed Artist Ruben Muradyan took place on October 12. About 120 schoolchildren from 6 schools of Gandzakar, Getahovit, Khashtarak, Aknaghbyur, and Ijevan participated in the meeting, held in Tavush Administrative Center.

About 3500 schoolchildren from 450 schools will participate in the meetings held within the framework of the program. The meetings are held in an interactive format. The children have the opportunity to get not only theoretical knowledge but also watch the presentation of the given artist and take part in the master class conducted by the guest, which can later help them in their professional orientation. During each meeting, a question-and-answer session takes place, which contributes to more direct student-and-artist communication and clarification of the questions that interest children.

The program is aimed at children’s professional orientation, spiritual development, recognition of art branches, and increasing the public recognition of Armenian artists. Within the framework of the “YOUR ART AT SCHOOL, in search of a profession” program, a series of lectures-meetings was held on October 11-14 in Dilijan, Ijevan, Berd, and Noyemberyan.
