Gandzakar schoolchildren create riddles in dialect for the “The tale of my home in Tavush” contest

The “The tale of my home in Tavush” contest continues, aiming to preserve and promote our precious dialect, traditions, and stories.

This time, 6th graders of Gandzakar Secondary School participated as the “Akunk” group. They composed riddles in dialect and decorated them with illustrated drawings. The children’s creations are interwoven with the colors of nature, the scent of the soil, the warmth of the sun, and their big dreams.

Through their work, the group members convey their love for their native dialect and their village.

The contest goes on, with students from Tavush schools revealing the history and beauty of their native villages through their works.

Remik Mardanyan, the legendary commander of the Artsakh Liberation War, would have turned 68 years old

On February 16, an event dedicated to the legendary commander of the Artsakh Liberation War, Colonel Remik Mardanyan’s birthday, was held in Gandzakar village of Tavush region.

There are legends about a commander fighting on an equal footing with a soldier. Comrades-in-arms say that Azerbaijan promised 60 million rubles for his head in 1992. Remik Mardanyan was a true devotee of the army.




Forage burnt in Gandzakar village

On January 4, at 01։32 an emergency call was received to Tavush Regional Crisis Management Center that haystack had been on fire in Gandzakar village.

Two fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MES of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that the fire broke out near a barn (about 14 square meters) in the yard of a house on the 34th street in the village.

The fire was localized at 02:07 and extinguished at 02:48. About 3 tonnes of forage and the wooden constructions (about 6 square meters) of the roof of the barn were burnt.




The car fell into the valley. There was a victim

On November 25, at 20:53, the regional crisis management center of Tavush was alerted that an accident had occurred on the Gandzakar-Berd highway, and the car fell into the valley.

One combat unit from the fire-rescue squad of the Regional Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations went to the scene of the incident.

It was found that near the 10th km of the Gandzakar-Berd highway, the “Gaz-66” truck (driver: N.M., born in 1968) left the roadway and rolled about 800 meters into the nearby valley; the driver died on the spot.

The rescuers cut off the power to the car and took N. M.’s body out of the valley on a stretcher (about 1 km) and brought closer to the vehicle.




On May 21-22, Ascension Day was celebrated in Gandzakar

On May 21-22, about 100 young people from different regions gathered in Gandzakar to celebrate Ascension Day together.

 

The celebration was held with the initiative of the “Kean” Educational and Cultural Center and Gandzakar, Culture House, within the framework of the “Navakatik” project.

Within the framework of this project, earlier Shrovetide and Palm Sunday were also celebrated in Gandzakar, and Tavush Diocese and the Municipality supported the realization of the project events.
