In our pavilion, we talk with psychologist Armen Bejanyan, psychiatrist Armen Soghoyan, and director of “The Pahapan Development Fund,” psychologist Inga Harutyunyan about war as stress, stress management, and the negative consequences of living under chronic stress, psycho-physical diseases, and we also discuss the consequences of war; the reality of dealing with grief, how to live after a loss, the role of a psychologist as a supporter, when a psychiatrist needs to intervene, and how people, relatives, or society can help or hinder the bereaved.

Psychological problems caused by the war. How to face them. Interview

In our pavilion, we talk with psychiatrist Armen Soghoyan and psychologist Armen Bejanyan about the impact of the war situation, post-traumatic stress disorders, ways to overcome mental health problems, first psychological support, and other issues.

Since 2021, free psychological counseling has been available in Tavush region for all the people affected by the war.

The 1940 visits have already been carried out, about 100 psychologists have had about 250hours of training, 84 schoolchildren and 356 disabled children have received psychological support. Due to the project, reintegration into society and entry into the labor market has been facilitated for more than 200 direct beneficiaries.

On August 31, a working conference on “The problems and perspectives of the psychological support system of the vulnerable population in Tavush” was held.



The vision of the conference organizers is to create a system of psychological services in Tavush by implementing the local resources for the sake of spiritual and psychological quality support.
