Rural life․Bustle from Artsvaberd. Summer, churn and the ornament of Vardavar – “Psali”

Do you remember how you used to spend your vacation in the village?

This is a real holiday for children, especially when they come to the village from the city to spend their vacation.

We tell about two of the most beautiful traditions of rural life in the video:

  • Churn – The mixture of rezhan (cream) and yogurt is collected for several weeks, then it is poured into segean (wineskin), where it is strained and thickened. This mass is opened with water, poured into the churn, and stirred, stirred … In the end, the most authentic and delicious butter and buttermilk are obtained.
  • Psali – This is one of the pastries that are an integral part of Tavush cuisine, especially typical for Vardavar holiday. The recipe includes dough kneaded with flour, water, salt, stuffing (fat or oil, flour), and sugar.

Hamo Sahyan “Your lips are Arenian”, Hrants Ghazumyan reads.  In the video, it rains in the center of the marz (region), in Ijevan.

“Shenlik,” a new resort in Chinchin, for the development of the village

“Shenlik” is a new tourist destination for those who value fresh air and peace. On July 3, the “Shenlik” guest house opened its doors in Chinchin village.

The founders of the guest house are Gayane and Voskan, a young couple. They say it was their dream to contribute to the development of the village.

The guest house was built with their own efforts and resources, and the Ancor Armenia company provided technical support.

Chinchin village is rich in sights and historical-cultural places.
The village can be a new tourist destination with its unique nature and hospitality. It was with this hope that Voskan and Gayane brought the idea of the guest house to life.

“The easiest way is to leave and run away, but it is better to stay, create and be an example for the others,” says Gayane.

Today during the opening event, the guests walked around the guest house, familiarized themselves with the conditions, and attended the cultural program and theatrical performance. In the amazing nature of Chinchin, “Shenlik” is already waiting for its first guests.
