YSU Ijevan Branch wished good luck to 232 graduates. Graduation ceremony

The most awaited graduation ceremony took place at YSU IB. On July 16, the graduation ceremony of the branch for the 2021-2022 academic year took place, and 232 graduates received their diplomas.

The Rector of YSU and the Acting Director of the Ijevan Branch made speeches at the event, highlighting the role of the branch both in Tavush and in the structure of the University.

The Rector of the YSU and the Acting Director of the Branch handed over the red diplomas of the graduates, who graduated with excellence, then, the deans of the departments, according to the professions, handed over full-time and part-time graduates’ diplomas.

This year 232 students graduated from YSU Ijevan Branch: 79 full-time students and 153 part-time students.

The ceremony was accompanied by an exhibition of the works of the graduates of the Applied Arts Faculty, congratulations, and festive music.

The international conference “Partnership for rural prosperity in Armenia” was held in Tavush

On July 10, the “Partnership for rural prosperity in Armenia” international event with LEADER / Community-led local development methodology was launched in Dilijan. It was organized within the framework of the “Local Empowerment of Actors for Development in Lori and Tavush regions” program implemented with EU funding, in cooperation with the RA Ministries of Economy and Territorial Administration and Infrastructure.

Newly created “Local active groups” formed within the framework of the program participated in the event, presenting their local products.

The purpose of the event is to officially announce the signing of the partnership agreement about the five newly established local active groups: “Tashir +,” “Lorva Dzor,” “GanDzor,” “Aghstev Valley,” and “Tsili Tsov,” which were created within the framework of “EU Local Empowerment of Actors for Development in Lori and Tavush regions” based on LEADER / Community-led local development methodology, following the principles of territorial inclusive development and with the partnership of local public and private sector and civil society representatives.

The event was also a platform for donors, international and local partners, EU, and experts on “LEADER” rural development methodology and project implementing partners to present the project progress and next steps, panel discussions, experience exchange, and networking.




Cultural tour in the villages of Noyemberyan

On June 28, the Cultural Center of Noyemberyan community visited Barekamavan, Voskepar, and Jujevan villages, through an annual cultural project.

The goal of the fun and interactive program of the cultural center is to give joy and laughter to the children of Noyemberyan. The reception was warm, and the children’s enthusiasm was great.

Rural life․Bustle from Artsvaberd. Summer, churn and the ornament of Vardavar – “Psali”

Do you remember how you used to spend your vacation in the village?

This is a real holiday for children, especially when they come to the village from the city to spend their vacation.

We tell about two of the most beautiful traditions of rural life in the video: 

  • Churn – The mixture of rezhan (cream) and yogurt is collected for several weeks, then it is poured into segean (wineskin), where it is strained and thickened. This mass is opened with water, poured into the churn, and stirred, stirred … In the end, the most authentic and delicious butter and buttermilk are obtained. 
  • Psali – This is one of the pastries that are an integral part of Tavush cuisine, especially typical for Vardavar holiday. The recipe includes dough kneaded with flour, water, salt, stuffing (fat or oil, flour), and sugar.
