Youth in the Rescue Service

Within the framework of International Youth Day, the Tavush Regional Rescue Service Department hosted a group of young people, giving them the opportunity to get acquainted with rescue work up close.

From the first moment of the visit, the young people found themselves in an atmosphere of real action: they saw how emergency call, how a response team is formed, and how quickly rescuers arrive at the scene.

During the meeting, the rescuers shared stories of their most difficult and memorable cases, emphasizing that this profession, in addition to professional knowledge, also requires will and endurance.

The numerous questions of the young people testified to their sincere interest in both the profession and the service. Many admitted that after the visit they had a clearer idea of ​​what a great responsibility a rescuer bears and what kind of dedication this path requires.

The meeting of the rescuers and young people ends with a symbolic promise: by your side, in all moments of life.




Labor rights of Tavush youth: Interview

What problems do young people in Tavush region face and what opportunities do they have? All this is summarized in the recently published report “Labor Rights of Youth in Tavush Region: Contemporary Challenges and Opportunities”.

Hayk Ghalumyan, head of the RA Tavush region, presented certificates of appreciation to 4 young people of the region who participated in the “Biryusa 2023” Russian youth forum.

Today, at the invitation of RA Tavush Region Governor, Hayk Ghalumyan, four young participants of the Russian Forum “Biryusa 2023” held in Krasnoyarsk region, Artyom Mkrtumyan, Vardan Mkrtchyan, Hayk Sargsyan, and Soren Petrosyan were at the Tavush Administrative Center.

During the meeting, the young people shared their impressions, new knowledge and experience.

Governor, Hayk Ghalumyan thanked for representing the region and awarded the participants with certificates of appreciation.




The fourth “Tamzara” was held with the efforts of the youth of Tavush

On May 14, the fourth “Tamzara,” accompanied by national dances,  started from the fountain square of Ijevan.

The second part of the “Tamzara,” initiative continued in the spiritual-rehabilitation center located in Getahovit. Kite Band was invited as a special guest.




The plays “There is life in the mountains…” and “Spring bells” were staged in the framework of the inter-community cultural event entitled “Theatre Day” with mutual visits to Berd and Koghb.

On March 30, within the framework of the inter-community cultural event entitled “Theatre Day”, the play “There is life in the mountains” (author of the play: Liana Antaranyan, director: Sasun Muradyan) was staged by the theater group of the Koghbi Culture Center at the Berd community culture house.

 

On a mutual visit, Berd’s children’s and youth theater troupe presented Artashes Palanduzyan’s play “Spring Bells” in Koghb.

After the performance, souvenirs symbolizing the inter-community cultural day “Theatre Day” were given to all members of the cast and directors of the theatre of Koghb and Berd, and theater groups and directors of the house of culture, initiators and supporters were awarded certificates of appreciation.

 




Tour and exchange of experience for young people. Tavush TV welcomed schoolchildren

Tavush Media was again crowded. The representatives of the Noyemberyan territorial center of the Tavush regional branch of the World Vision Armenia charity organization, and the children of the media literacy group, about 30 young people from Ayrum and Haghtanak settlements came to get acquainted with the works of Tavush TV.

The staff of Tavush Media introduced them the stages of creating television products, presented the process of preparing, editing, and airing TV programs.

Children also learnt the stages of preparation of booth programs. They worked with the cameras, applying the knowledge gained beforehand.

During this period, we also talked about the work of Tavush Media and further activities.




The Armenian final stage of the Diamond Challenge youth entrepreneurial competition was held in Dilijan

The Armenian final stage of the Diamond Challenge youth entrepreneurial competition was held on February 26, at Dilijan Central School. The top 10 teams from different cities of Armenia presented their business ideas to the selection committee. The winning team got the opportunity to participate in the final stage of the competition at Delaware University of the USA.

Dilijan Community Center is the official partner of Diamond Challenge international competition.

Piloting the localized version of the “Positive Youth Development Questionnaire” in Dilijan

In order to test the first questionnaire of the localized version of the “Positive Youth Development Questionnaire” within the framework of the “Civic Education and Participation” program, a meeting was held in Dilijan High School on February 9 with the participation of students of the Tavush working group, and the students and teachers of social studies from 4 public schools of Tavush region. At the beginning of the meeting, the program and the vision of positive youth development were presented, then, the teachers and students shared their observations, remarks and suggestions in the context of the current educational standard reforms.




Tamzara: National-folk evening in the Political Cafe in Ijevan

Tamzara is an Armenian dance, more specifically, a wedding dance. On the initiative of a group of young people and in cooperation with Hatik and Shushiki Band, in the Political Cafe of Ijevan, an evening was dedicated to the preserving, appreciating and simply enjoying the national.




An environmental campaign dedicated to the efficient use of energy

Dedicated to the week of efficient use of energy, Innovation Knowledge Hub Tavush initiates a competition for young researchers.

The topic of the competition is directions for efficient use of energy in Tavush region.

All young people living in Tavush aged 16-30 can participate in the competition by registering and sending their works by the following link.

Within the framework of the competition, a small research should be presented, which will present examples of successful global experience in efficient use of energy and directions for their implementation in Tavush.
