The Brotherhood of the Armenian Apostolic Church arrived in Tavush on a missionary excursion

On June 5, the Brotherhood  met at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin with the participation of vartabeds and monks of the Armenian and world-wide dioceses of the Armenian Apostolic Church. On June 7, the Brotherhood arrived in Tavush for a missionary excursion. The clerics’ visit aimed at visiting the families of soldiers who died, were injured or went missing in the 44-day war, in 2020.

The Brotherhood started their visit from the Fountains of Ijevan where all the four sides of the world were blessed. Then, the 56 vartabeds and monks visited the communities of Tavush region, accompanied by the clergy of Tavush Diocese.

Visiting the families of the boys martyred in the 44-day war, the Holy Fathers pray for the memory of the fallen soldiers, for the discovery of the missing servicemen, for the recovery of the injured soldiers and for the speedy return of the prisoners. The Brotherhood also visited large families with many children and performed a blessing ceremony.

In the evening, after the visits  the Brotherhood again met in the Holy Church of Voskepar, near the border.
