The Heroes. Ruben Gevorgyan

In the report of “Yerkir Media” from the front line, the boys are in the trenches; Ruben is speaking, and he tells about the enemy’s attack: “the important thing is that we were brave enough..”. The journalist asks: “Was there a feeling of fear at that moment?” “There wasn’t, at all,” the soldier smiles. When the report was aired on television, he had already taken the path to immortality…

“Artsakh was a passion for him, and he liked it very much…”

Today our Heroes program tells about Ruben Gevorgyan’s story, a modest and brave soldier, who remained faithful to his oath to the Motherland until the end: “not to spare his life for it.” He fought bravely, leaving us his dream of having a strong Motherland.

BIOGRAPHY

Ruben Gevorgyan was born in Verin Tsaghkavan, in 1998. “Motherland begins right from the borders of my village,” Ruben had been a border guard since childhood.

His teachers told us that Ruben had been a modest, balanced, friendly student.
Despite his health problems, he served his Motherland.

He was awarded the “For Combat Service” medal for capturing enemy positions and destroying a large number of weapons, ammunition, and manpower.

During the battles, he saved his friend’s life, taking the projectile’s impact on himself. He was martyred on October 9.
