Schools of Tavush region receive laboratory equipment and property within the framework of the “EU4 Innovation” program
The “EU4 Innovation” grant program has been summarized which was launched on October 30, 2020.
The objective of the program was to increase the capacities of the National Center for Education Development and Innovation and to enhance the environment for STEM education.
The program consists of two components – “Advancement of the National Center for Education Development and Innovation by regulating mechanisms affecting the quality of general education”, and “Improving the STEM learning environment through the acquisition of property and equipment”.
The main objective of the “Advancement of the National Center for Education Development and Innovation by regulating mechanisms affecting the quality of general education” component is to provide technical support to the NCEDI, contributing to the development of the organization’s capabilities. The provided support covers the main sectors of general education: professional development of teachers, which includes training and certification of teachers, management and evaluation of educational processes in schools, methodology for the development and expertise of curricula, materials, and the development of corresponding guidelines. Within the framework of the program, 50 laptops were provided to the NCEDI to organize the activities of the organization more efficiently.
The objective of the “Improving the STEM learning environment through the acquisition of property and equipment” component is to enhance the environment for teaching STEM subjects in schools of Tavush region by providing laboratory equipment and property for Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Geography and ICT. As part of the component, 76 secondary schools of Tavush received laboratory equipment and property for STEM subjects and ICT.
