A 41-year-old resident of Navur village had made construction timber from illegally cut trees

The officers of the Tavush Division of the Community Police received operational information that a 41-year-old man, a resident of Navur village, was engaged in illegal tree cutting and was making construction timber from the felled trees.

During the inspection, law enforcement officers discovered about 10 cubic meters of sawn boards of various sizes in a building adjacent to the man’s workshop.

It was found out that the boards belonged to him, acquired during about one year from the forested area belonging to their village, and that he did not have the relevant documentation for them.

The prepared documents were sent to the Berd Investigative Division. The circumstances are being clarified.

Notice: A person suspected or accused of an alleged crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in the manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, by a court judgment that has entered into legal force.
