A speed alert device installed near Haghartsin village school on the Dilijan-Ijevan road

One of the main causes of road accidents continues to be speeding. As part of preventive measures, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has installed new speed alert devices on several highways.

These devices are already operational on the Dilijan–Ijevan, Yerevan–Sevan, and Yerevan–Ejmiatsin highways. The new equipment reminds drivers of the speed limits in the respective sections and simultaneously encourages more disciplined driving.

Special attention has been given to school zones. Specifically, a speed alert device has been installed near the school in Haghartsin village. It warns drivers and compels them to be extra cautious in areas with increased pedestrian activity, especially children.

The operation of the speed alert devices is simple: a green signal means the driver is within the speed limit, while a red signal warns of speeding. Driver vigilance and respect for traffic rules are crucial to safeguarding the lives and health of all road users. Please drive carefully.
