A soil analysis laboratory was opened at Noyemberyan State College on April 29 as a part of the EU-fended Green Agriculture initiative implemented by the Austrian Development Agency, which will also serve as a classroom.
According to the director of Noyemberyan State College, Karen Nazaryan, “There was no such laboratory in our region, and in general, there are few such kinds of laboratories in Armenia, which enable us to analyze the soil, get information on soil composition, as a result of which, we can decide what to sow, what to plant, what to get, what kind of result we will get.”
The laboratory equipped with the latest and most accurate equipment is a unique structure in Tavush region. It will be significant not only as a research center in college but also as a center for the development of agricultural production and research at the regional level, in general.
Soil examinations will be conducted in the laboratory, ratio and physical condition of soil micro-macroelements will be determined, as well as various studies related to the composition of plants and water will be carried out.
