Within the framework of the “Family librarian” project implemented with the support of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports from 2023 ten regional libraries under the ministry will provide services to people with limited mobility and elderly people.
The project was previously implemented only by Lori and Shirak regional libraries, due to which more than 5,800 books were provided annually to persons with limited mobility, as well as to the elderly and child development centers. From now on, within the framework of the project, library services will be provided in all regions of the Republic of Armenia. More than 650 registered citizens will have the opportunity to exercise the right to read at home.
The librarian will visit the same person at least twice a month.
