RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, Zhanna Andreasyan, visited the Dilijan Geological Museum-Gallery within the framework of the International Day of Museums, congratulated the employees of the museum on the occasion of the professional holiday and toured the exhibition halls.
According to information from ESCS, Zhanna Andreasyan was accompanied by Deputy Minister Alfred Kocharyan, Head of the Department of Cultural Heritage and Folk Crafts of ESCS Ministry Astghik Marabyan, Head of the Department of Preservation of Historical and Cultural Monuments of ESCS Harutyun Vanyan, Director of Geological Museum-Gallery of Dilijan, painter Arman Badeyan.
On the occasion of the International Day of Museums, among many other museums in Armenia, the entrance to the Geological Museum-Gallery of Dilijan is also free for all visitors until 24:00. The festive events were presented to the Minister of ESCS. an exhibition of Gevorg Mshetsi’s creative chairs, and a performance by students of the Children’s Music School of Dilijan, as well as a tanapur treatment, are planned. At the end of the day, from 21:00, “Van Gogh” film was shown.
According to the minister of ESCS, Zhanna Andreasyan, the exhibits of the museum gallery are quite impressive and will surely be very interesting for visitors.
The minister of ESCS also visited the folk art museum named after Hovhannes Sharambeyan in Dilijan and observed the ongoing repair, fixing, and restoration works in the museum, which, according to the initial plan, will be completed in 2024.
