Resource, Opportunity, and Platform: Tavush Media Contest Summary (PHOTOS)

On April 12-13, the winners of the contest announced by Tavush Media were hosted on Tavush TV in Ijevan. A two-day training course was held, after which the winners were awarded prizes for further cooperation with Tavush Media.

The two-day training is the first part of the professional training of the winners. During the training, our teammates of Tavush TV introduced the winners to the main nuances of using the technologies and answered the questions of our future correspondents. Together, we discussed several important topics related to journalism, creating stories, and image capture.

At the end of the training, Tavush Media gave prizes to the young people for the whole set of equipment to create their materials, four video cameras, as well as accessories, speakers, drives, tripods, etc.

The contest announced some months ago is the initiative of Tavush Media to give an opportunity to young people to get corresponding resources, skills, and a platform to tell their stories. The winners of the competition get the opportunity to be paid for cooperation with different platforms of Tavush Media – Tavush TV, website, blog, as well as all the technical means to ensure that cooperation: filming and editing, relevant professional training.

The winners of the competition were selected out of 15-30 aged young people from Tavush, based on their journalistic materials. Tavush Media team selected the winners based on a preliminary competition and interview. At this stage of the initiative, young people from Noyemberyan and Berd were selected.

After summarizing the competition, Tavush Media will start the cooperation with the winners: soon, Tavush stories of our new and young correspondents will be available on our website.
