Strictly follow fire safety rules

From July 18 to 30, the crisis management centers of the regional rescue departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Rescue Service received several reports regarding fires in grass-covered and vegetated areas covering around 10 hectares or more, in particular in Movses, Nerkin Karmiraghbyur, Azatamut of Tavush region, Arzakan, Garni, Zovuni of Kotayk region, Tavros of Syunik region, and Chiva settlement of Vayots Dzor.

The fire-rescue units of the regional rescue departments carried out large-scale, coordinated, and effective firefighting operations, responding promptly to all alarms, as a result of which it was possible to isolate and completely extinguish the fires in a short time.

Thanks to the actions of the firefighters-rescuers, the spread of fires to adjacent areas was prevented.

Representatives of the Police patrol and eco-patrol services, as well as citizens, were also involved in the firefighting operations.

Considering the high fire risk situation in the country, the Rescue Service once again calls for maximum vigilance, strict observance of fire safety rules, and avoidance of lighting bonfires in unplanned places, especially in forest-adjacent areas and recreation zones.

Everyone can become a guardian of nature by showing a responsible attitude towards the environment.

Dear citizens, observe fire safety rules and take care of the biodiversity of the environment.
