Tavush Media participates in fact-checking journalism school

From September 16 to 18, a Fact-Checking Journalism School was held in Yerevan at the office of the Media Initiatives Center. The training was organized for journalists from media outlets that are part of the FactCheck Armenia network, as well as reporters from other newsrooms, with the aim of enhancing their skills and knowledge in the field of fact-checking.

The sessions were led by Jakub Śliż, an experienced fact-checking journalist from the Polish media outlet “Prawda”, and Katya Mamyan, a data journalism specialist.

The training covered a range of timely and essential topics, including:

  • Artificial Intelligence and Fact-Checking
  • Elections and Disinformation
  • Mechanisms to Prevent the Spread of Disinformation
  • Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) and Open Data Collection
  • Big Data Collection and Analysis Using Open-Source Tools, Python, and AI technologies

We at Tavush Media were proud to take part in this training. As a member of the FactCheck Armenia network, this opportunity represents an important step toward building a more professional and competitive media landscape — one that remains committed to its core values and responsive to the expectations of its audience.
