As a result of the monitoring of social media and mass media by the Human Rights Defender’s staff, information was received that a group of Indian citizens working in one of the factories in Ijevan are raising issues related to labor rights.
“In order to get acquainted with the rights-related issues raised by foreigners, the state of ensuring the rights of individuals, as well as the concerns raised regarding working conditions, the representative of the Tavush regional department of the Human Rights Defender’s staff had a private meeting with several of the employees on August 6.
All issues related to human rights are summarized in the Human Rights Defender’s staff and will be addressed to the competent state body.
The Defender will be consistent within the framework of his/her powers so that labor rights are properly ensured and protected in general,” the Defender wrote.
