Today unprecedented hail and heavy rain fell in Tavush Region.
As a result of the hailstorm and strong wind, trees fell and roads were blocked in the communities of Tavush region. The regional center – Ijevan, and the rural settlements of the community were especially affected.
Cars were blocked as a result of unprecedented wind strength, hail and torrential rain. at the moment the rain has stopped. Municipal authorities and rescuers clean and open interstate and state roads and streets.

A tree overturned and fell on a car on Ankakhutyan Street in Ijevan, citizens were trapped inside. the rescuers came to help.
At the moment, there are several local power grid failures, damaged roofs, broken trees and flooded basements in Ijevan, – the head of the Tavush regional rescue department of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, colonel V. Pirumyan informed Tavush Media.
