Who in partnership with the Armenian Red Cross Society (ARCS) trained for about 800 people in 34 communities in Syunik, Vayots Dzor, Gegharkunik and Tavush on how to provide basic first aid in emergencies. The trainings empowered the participants with knowledge and skills to get ready to act and respond promptly in emergencies with health consequences.
The training participants were also provided with First Aid manual, FA kits and boxes.
“Community members participated actively in the trainings asking so many questions. They highlighted that such trainings give the confidence to act in a health emergency. And that the more people know now how to provide first aid, specifically in remote regions of Armenia the better the communities are prepared to respond if necessary”, mentioned Gayane Andreasyan, ARCS FA instructor.
