Every year, the last Sunday of May is a special day in Tbilisi. On May 28, for the 109th time in the center of Tbilisi “Vardaton,” which has already become a tradition, was celebrated in the center of Tbilisi. The festival is dedicated to the memory of Sayat-Nova.
Moe than a century ago, Armenian and Georgian intellectuals, on the initiative of Hovhannes Tumanyan put flowers on his grave and sang his songs, laid a foundation for this favorite celebration of the Armenians living in Georgia.
