Heroes. Ashot Vardapetyan

“I have always said that every girl like me should have a brother like Ashot,” says Ani Vardapetyan, his sister.

“The Heroes” program tells about Ashot Vardapetyan from Tavush, who was immortalized in the 44-day war.

Before the difficult battle, his senior friends, knowing what was waiting for them, told him to avoid and not to go, but he did not hesitate, “Where my comrades-in-arms are, there I shall be.”

Ashot Vardapetyan was born in 2000, in Achajur village, Tavush. He studied at Secondary School after Hrant Tamrazyan in 2006-2018.

During his school years, he attended Chess and Football class for 8 years. He participated in matches in different regions of the Republic of Armenia, as well as in the Republic of Georgia. After finishing school, he left for military service.

He served in “Martuni-2” in Artsakh. During the war, he was transferred to the southern border of Artsakh.

He spoke with his relatives for the last time on October 25; he fell a day later for the Homeland.

Ashot Vardapetyan was posthumously awarded “Combat Service,” “Military Cross,” and “Mother of Charity” medals.
