BIOGRAPHY
Vahe Vahagni Melikyan was born in 1996 in the city of Berd, Tavush region. From 2002 to 2012, he studied at Berd Secondary School No. 2. Then he continued his education at Berd Multifunctional State College, receiving the specialty of a mechanizer.
From 2015 to 2017, he served in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia. After demobilization, he entered contract service in Berd Military Unit N. In parallel, he continued his education remotely at the State Academy of Crisis Management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The 44-day war that began in September 2020 changes Vahe’s daily life. On October 16, he left for Artsakh to participate in defensive operations. He participated in combat operations in the direction of the “Martuni-2” military unit as an artilleryman.
Vahe Vahagni Melikyan was killed on October 22, in a combat position. For his courage, he was posthumously awarded the “Combat Service” medal.
