On January 28, 1992, the government adopted a decision “On the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia”, thereby legally announcing the formation of the Armenian National Army. It is already the 31st year that the Armenian Army, passing through trials, continues to be the guarantor of the security of the Republic of Armenia.
On January 28, on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the formation of the Armenian Army, an event was held at the House of Culture in Ijevan. The event started with a 1-minute silence in memory of Armenians who dedicated their lives to the Motherland at all times.
The governor of Tavush and the mayor of Ijevan awarded a number of officers and conscripts of the N military unit of the RA Ministry of Defense with certificates of appreciation and symbolic gifts for their meritorious service.
